Join us at the Georgia Festival of Trees and give back to your community! We've got a sleigh-full of merry volunteer experiences for you to choose from. Whether you love decorating, greeting guests, or just lending a helping hand – we’ve got a spot for you on our volunteer team.

All volunteers must be 16 years old to participate. Participants under 18 years of age, must have their parent/guardian complete their waiver.

Agreement for Participation

Thank you for choosing to volunteer with the Georgia Festival of Trees! Volunteers are the heart of our event, and your time and effort help us create a magical holiday experience for our guests. To ensure a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment for everyone, please review and agree to the following terms and conditions.

General Expectations

1. Commitment & Timeliness
  1. Volunteers are expected to arrive on time for their assigned shifts and remain until the end of the scheduled time.
  2. If you are unable to attend or anticipate being late, you must notify the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible.
2. Dress Code
  1. Volunteers should wear dark pants or skirt and a plain or holiday festive top. An apron & name badge will be provided and must be worn during all volunteer shifts.
  2. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.
  3. Please avoid clothing with offensive graphics, political messaging, or anything that detracts from the family-friendly atmosphere of the event.
  4. Holiday accessories (hats, scarves, festive jewelry) are welcome and encouraged, provided they do not interfere with assigned duties.
3. Guest Experience
  1. Volunteers are expected to be courteous, welcoming, and helpful to all guests at all times.
  2. Please provide accurate information to guests or direct them to the appropriate team member if you are unsure.
  3. Volunteers must not engage in arguments, negative discussions, or behavior that could harm the guest experience.
4. Professional Conduct
  1. Volunteers represent the Georgia Festival of Trees and are expected to act with integrity and respect toward guests, fellow volunteers, staff, sponsors, and vendors.
  2. Harassment, discrimination, use of offensive language, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal.
  3. Volunteers must not consume alcohol, use drugs, or be under the influence while on duty.
5. Health & Safety
  1. Volunteers must comply with all safety instructions provided by staff or supervisors.
  2. Any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions must be reported immediately to the Volunteer Coordinator.
  3. Volunteers are responsible for their personal belongings. The Georgia Festival of Trees is not liable for lost or stolen items.
6. Volunteer Role & Limitations
  1. Volunteers agree to perform their assigned duties to the best of their ability.
  2. Volunteers may not alter, swap, or abandon assignments without approval from the Volunteer Coordinator.
  3. Volunteers understand that assignments may change based on event needs.
7. Media & Photography Release
  1. By volunteering, you grant permission for the Georgia Festival of Trees to use photographs, video, or audio recordings of you for promotional purposes without compensation.
8. No Compensation
  1. Volunteers acknowledge that participation is unpaid and does not create an employee-employer relationship with the Georgia Festival of Trees.
9. Termination of Service
  1. The Georgia Festival of Trees reserves the right to dismiss a volunteer at any time if behavior or performance is inconsistent with the expectations outlined above.
10. Agreement
  1. By signing up as a volunteer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms & Conditions.

WAIVER AND RELEASE FORM

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In return for being allowed to participate in The Georgia Festival of Trees volunteer activities and all related activities, including any activities incidental to such participation (“Volunteer Activities”), the undersigned Volunteer or Parent/Legal Guardian of Volunteer if Volunteer is under age 18 (hereafter referred to using “I”, “me”, or “my”) releases and agrees not to sue the Georgia Festival of Trees or its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents and affiliates (“the Festival”) from all present and future claims that may be made by me, my family, estate, heirs, or assigns for property damage, personal injury, or wrongful death arising as a result of my participation in the Volunteer Activities wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur.

I understand and agree that the Festival is not responsible for any injury or property damage arising out of the Volunteer Activities, even if caused by their ordinary negligence or otherwise.

I understand that participation in Volunteer Activities involves certain risks, including, but not limited to, serious injury and death. I am voluntarily participating in the Volunteer Activities with knowledge of the danger involved and I agree to accept all risks of participation.

I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Festival for all claims arising out of my participation in the Volunteer Activities.

I understand that this document is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state in which the Volunteer Activities take place and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect.

I also acknowledge that the Festival has not arranged and does not carry any insurance of any kind for my benefit or that of Volunteer (if Volunteer is under 18), my parents, guardians, trustees, heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns. I represent that, to my knowledge, I am in good health and suffer no physical impairment that would or should prevent my participation in Volunteer Activities.

I also understand that this document is a contract which grants certain rights to and eliminates the liability of the Festival.

I am of legal age and am freely signing this agreement. I have read this form and understand that by signing this form, I am giving up legal rights and remedies.
