In the Key of Dance

In the Key of Dance is a performing arts organization dedicated to inspiring young dancers through quality training, performance opportunities, confidence-building, and a genuine love for the arts. Founded and led by Owner and Artistic Director Nykisha Banks, In the Key of Dance provides a positive and encouraging environment where dancers are challenged to grow both artistically and personally.

Guided by the philosophy “Progress Over Perfection,” dancers receive training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, pointe, African dance, and more, while learning the importance of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and self-confidence.

In the Key of Dance is also home to In the Key of Dance Performing Arts Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to expand access to performing arts experiences and opportunities for young people.

From the studio room to the stage, In the Key of Dance believes every dancer deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, perform, and shine.
