Amazing Grace Dance Company & Youth Ministry

The Amazing Grace Liturgical Dancers were formed in 2000 to accompany and enhance the worship experiences at the historic Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, in Atlanta, GA. Composed of youth and teens in the early years,Amazing Grace’s Founder, Kenya Malene Griffin, instilled passion, skill,  excellence, and service into her dancers.  Before long the group transitioned to mostly adults and she and her dancers set the standard for inspirational dance throughout the country.  Kenya and the Amazing Grace Dancers were requested to host workshops and perform at various churches and events throughout the country. In 2006 Ms. Griffin formed the ‘Amazing Grace Dance Company’, which is the professional entity of Amazing Grace; and in 2015 she launched the Amazing Grace Youth Ministry for youth and teens throughout Atlanta.  In 2013,  AIB-TV awarded Kenya and Amazing Grace the William Womack Award for creativity and powerful works in dance.  In 2016, Kenya received the Rising In Community Excellence Award for the category of Arts & Music. In 2020, after facing a challenging battle with colon cancer, founder Kenya Griffin transitioned to choreographing and dancing amongst the angels.  All of her dance company members she inspired throughout her 20 years of teaching, dancing, and choreographing in Amazing Grace now aim to continue her mission of giving God the Glory through excellence in dance ministry.
