The Hall County Quilt Guild was officially organized as a non-profit organization in 1978 by a group of Gainesville, Hall County ladies.  The aim of the guild was to revive and restore skills of the waning and lost art of quilting and is still a non-profit group which meets once a month to include a program, 'show & tell', raffles and a short business meeting. Programs feature lectures, demos and classses by local quilt makers and international teachers.  The Guild makes and donates quilts (as well as other quilted/sewn items) to many other local, non-profit organizations throughout the year.
